Orlando (Day 6)--Universal's Island of Adventure

We spent most of our last day in the parks at Universal's Islands of Adventure.  Our first stop was back to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter--Hogsmeade.

Hubby and the older boy rode the Dragon Challenge (where you sit in a chair with your feet hanging down and the ride does 5 inversions and goes 57-60 mph!) not once but TWICE!  We also all enjoyed the Flight of the Hippogriff rollercoaster ride.

The boys took on the Dragon Challenge!

The Jurassic Park area was also very cool!

O used his "Chris Pratt" powers to tame a velociraptor.

Hubby and the older boy took on Jurassic Park River Adventure and got soaked!

85 foot waterfall at the end!
No one escapes getting wet on this one
Great ride!
Nobody move a muscle!
We got our Marvel Universe "fix" on Marvel Super Hero Island, where we rubbed elbows with Super Heroes such as Captain American and Spiderman.

Spiderman
Green Goblin
Cyclops from the X-Men
The X-Men's jet
Then we "hopped" back over to Universal Studios to wander through Hollywood, see some characters, and catch the Simpson's ride (long and nauseating!).

The Brown Derby
The Mystery Machine from Scooby Doo
The Minion Mobile from Despicable Me 2

And of course, we had to have one last round of Butterbeer in Diagon Alley!

  1. The Czarnecki's (Samuel might remember Mr Z in the portables) were just at Universal Studios and "Harry Potter land"- I think at the same time you were! Looks so fun!

  2. The boys do remember Mr. Z. Too bad we didn't run into them! Hope all is well with you, KJ. :)
