Has it really been almost two months since we posted a blog entry?
Inertia *
noun in·er·tia \i-ˈnər-shə, -shē-ə\
"A feeling of not having the energy or desire that is needed to move, change, etc."
It's undeniable that a certain amount of INERTIA has set in as we go about our day-to-day activities in what are becoming well-entrenched routines in our temporary home away from home.
So what are some of the things that have been keeping us busy for the past few months?
Snow, snow and more snow! |
Concert Band practices and assessments |
Symphonic Orchestra practices and assessments |
Rifle matches and competitions |
Music lessons |
15th birthdays! |
Dance parties with cool Biology teachers . . . |
. . . and cool PE teachers, Aides and friends! |
Tidal Basin cherry blossoms |
National Gallery of Art masterpieces |
But truthfully, we have also been saving up our money . . . and energy . . . for our much-anticipated trip to sunny
FLORIDA with Gramma J over
SPRING BREAK. Woo hoo!!!
Once school let out for break, we packed our bags, loaded the car, and burned rubber out of the driveway headed south on I-95. Two days later, we were pulling into the arrivals area of the Orlando International Airport to load Gramma J into the car and find our way to Shades of Green on Walt Disney World Resort, a vacation property for military members and their families.
Tingling with excitement as we drove through the main WDW gate! |
View of the championship golf courses from our room |
Mickey greeting visitors in the lobby |
Dinner at Mangino's in our hotel (Gramma J is taking the photo) |
Stay tuned for future blog posts about our adventures in the parks!
Glad to see you all looking so happy and healthy and looking forward to more posts about DW adventure. The boys certainly clean up nice and are SO handsome in their formal wear! oxoxoxoxox
